Business VoIP Phone Systems & Copper Line Migration

BT’s old copper phone network switches off on 31 January 2027. STORM 360 moves your business onto a modern cloud phone system – keeping your existing numbers – so your phones keep ringing and your team can take calls from anywhere.

Plans from £9.99 per user per month. No contract. Keep your numbers.

Why Move to VoIP Now?

Openreach stopped selling new analogue phone lines and ISDN in 2023, and the copper network (PSTN) is being retired on 31 January 2027. Lines that haven’t moved will go onto a temporary emergency service that costs more and does less.

VoIP – Voice over Internet Protocol – runs your calls over your internet connection instead. It is usually cheaper than traditional line rental and gives you features that used to need an expensive on-site phone system: call routing, call menus, voicemail to email, call recording and apps for your mobile and laptop. HOW WE MIGRATE YOU

From Copper Lines to VoIP – Without the Hassle

1. Free phone line audit. We go through your phone bill and premises to list every line and number – plus anything else that uses the copper network, like alarms, card machines, lift phones and fax lines.

2. Broadband check. We make sure your internet connection can carry calls reliably, and recommend full fibre or a backup connection if your phones are business-critical.

3. Design your phone system. Users, call routing, opening hours, voicemail and call menus – plus which desk phones, headsets or apps each person needs.

4. Transfer your numbers & switch over. We port your existing numbers and switch you over at a quiet time, so you don’t miss calls.

5. Train & support. We show your team how everything works and support you afterwards from our office in Ayr.

Plans: Starting Out £9.99, Flying High £16.99 and Enterprise £24.99 per user per month. No contract, and a 14-day free trial.

VOIP FAQ'S

VoIP and copper switch-off questions

Openreach is retiring the copper phone network (PSTN) on 31 January 2027 and has said there will be no extension. New analogue lines and ISDN stopped being sold in September 2023. Lines that haven’t moved by the deadline will be put on a temporary, more expensive emergency service. Read our full guide.

Yes. We transfer (port) your existing 01 and 02 landline numbers to your new VoIP system, so customers can still reach you on the same numbers.

Plans start at £9.99 per user per month (Starting Out, 100 minutes included), with Flying High at £16.99 (750 minutes) and Enterprise at £24.99 (unlimited calls). There is no contract and you can try it free for 14 days. Desk phones and headsets are quoted separately.

These often use a copper phone line and may stop working after the switch-off. As part of our free audit we identify them and help you plan replacements with your suppliers – many can move to an IP or 4G connection.

Most business broadband handles VoIP easily. We test your connection first and can recommend full fibre or a backup connection for resilience – and because calls can ring on mobile apps, you can keep taking calls even if the office connection drops.
