One Drive For Business

Launched in August 2007, One Drive by Microsoft has become the major players in File Hosting for the Windows platform. Now built into the companies Operating system, it also serves as the main storage medium for the excellent Office 365 package.

Key advantages of using One Drive in a Business environment is the ability for Teams large or small to collaborate, access and share files from anywhere. Groups of files can be organised in such a way that access can be restricted to specific individuals or groups of employees. The software itself boasts a slick user interface which is both reliable and feature rich.

In terms of pricing Microsoft offers a tier system where it can be purchased separately from Office 365, or as part of the package (recommended). Advanced security features are available should you feel the basic package doesn’t meet your needs, moving up another tier you will have access the office web apps which work really well with One Drive. Finally the full Office 365 package will give you all features and of course the Desktop versions of Microsoft powerful productivity package.  

Compatibility is not limited to the Windows platform, its available on Android and IOS for tablets and smartphones. Also the latest MacOS operating systems.
